In August 2017 I joined the OECD Development Centre, assisting their Development Communication Network (DevCom) Secretariat in projects such as:
• Systematized OECD’s policy tracking and research on governments’ development communication initiatives and practicies for the UN 2030 Agenda, establishing a transversal framework with proxy indicators (sources: UN HLPF, PISA, World Bank).
• Lead the development and launch of the new OECD DevCom’s website, aimed at strengthening good practices for development communication and facilitating knowledge sharing among development agencies, foundations, multilateral partners (UN, World Bank, SEGIB, European Commission etc.) and the private sector.
• Supported DevCom’s research on public opinion trends on development analysing data from global surveys (Eurobarometer, Pew, IPSOS, Globescan etc.) and drafted policy notes on the SDGs.
• Guided delegations coming to the OECD for events of the Development Centre as VIP Liaison Officer and drafted run-of-show documents for high-level meetings (DevCom Annual Meeting, Global Forum on Development, International Economic Forum on Africa etc.)
During my traineeship I was also part of the foundation and the Board of Members of the OECD Intern Circle, an initiative for interns by interns to establish a platform for networking, mutual learning and support.
During its first months, I led the daily communications to over 150 interns in the organisation, establishing relations with top OECD officials and organising formal and informal events with several directorates.
